First let me wish you all a happy new year. It’s now 2017 and we are all having a list of New Year resolutions and many goals and dreams which we would like to achieve by the end of this year.
A recent article that interested me was about the about the leap second. It had explained about how Google was planning to alter its Network Time Protocol (NTP) so as to include the extra second on December 31st and how the leap second could just disrupt the functioning of the internet had it not been considered. To say it in simple terms, the leap second was just an extra second added to the clock on December 31st so as to compensate for the revolution of the earth.
The thing that interested me was not the leap second or the Network time protocol or even the effect of the leap second on the internet. It was only about the importance of each second in our life. This made me realize how many precious hours I have wasted till now aimlessly scrolling news-feeds! When a second is just given that much importance in the current scenario, just think about how much your time is valuable.
This explains my new formed view that I wish to convey — “time is a resource”.
It’s a resource used properly by the successful and spent recklessly by those who fail in their endeavors. The most valuable gift given by god is definitely “time”. Once wasted, time can never be earned back. It may be duly called as the most valuable thing in the world. Spend it wisely and it would elevate you to great heights else you perish without achieving anything.
There is a term in economics known as opportunity cost, knowledge of which would help to never waste your time for trivial matters in life. Opportunity cost effectively quantizes the value of your time.
Suppose you are planning to start a restaurant after quitting your job, then the revenue you earn from the restaurant must be greater than the money you could have earned in your job so as to be profitable in this venture. Thus opportunity cost is the money you could have earned working in the time you had spent for something. Hence your time could be compared approximately with money. A person earning Rs.25000 a month would have wasted 100Rs. if he had spent an hour unproductively. This may explain you why I would like to refer time as a resource.
An organization working on a project hires people primarily not for the skills but for their time. So the next time you land a job in your dream company or recruit members for your startup remember that you are hiring them for their time and not their skills. So literally we are paid just for our precious time we give for them, be it in an organization or a business.
Such being the importance of time, and where people are paid for their time, we are remorselessly wasting it in social networking and internet just because we are left with abundance of it.
God doesn’t give you money to survive in this earth, he just gives you time to live. He doesn’t like to pay you in dollars or Euros; he just pays you in seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years. Hence that’s why we have been referring the usage of time as spending.
For those who are poor in managing time let me tell you a simple way to boss over it at your hand. It’s to micromanage time by splitting your it into small chunks and planning what you are going to do in that span. Suppose you have a plan or a task that should be completed in a month, split it into thirty small tasks that should be completed in a day. This makes it easy to monitor the progress and hence be in control over the time in hand. When you have practiced micromanagement of time you would be in a position to decide clearly what you should do in your allocated space. Learning to Micromanage time may be the best thing you could learn that would help you achieve your targets and finish your tasks within stipulated attitude of time.
The similarity between successful people of all fields is that they value triumph and time. You cannot see them wasting both these because they are here only because they have used it properly to become the master in their respective fields. I may quote the words of Steve Jobs which describes how much he valued time. It goes as “My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time”. A person who respects time this much is sure to succeed and Steve Jobs is just an example to it.
Finally, those who have till now wasted many hours in life(including me), let’s just assure ourselves that we would manage our time in a better way that helps us attain our targets and am signing off with another quote from Jobs-Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living Someone Else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

(a well wisher of Rho-ohmTech Community):
Make sure you share this article with your friends and to those who are struggling to get hold of their TIME!!
A link to TIME as another Dimension is down here!!
I’d like to draw the attention of all the tech geeks out there!!
Coz this is for those who prefer gadgets over their girlfriends.I certainly want to make a bulletin stating that you guys are affected by a condition called gizmo fever!!
Few are at level-1 and few are at the very extreme.I include myself in the extreme category for the same reason that i wake my phone’s screen every minute even if a message doesn’t drop on whatsapp!! BBM had me going crazy during the early days of 2011-12,and then we all shifted to whatsapp..Some perhaps used it as soon as Jan Koum released it to Android..
Facebook,Instagram,Whatsapp,Skype and other apps drived us nuts and we still are the same after 6yrs of the release of each and every app, some probably more than that.Have you ever woken up on a Sunday morning without snoozing your alarm on your smartphone?Exactly from that point on-wards we are attracted like opposite poles to our mini-computers that give us nothing but digital strain, tension and to an extent sleeplessness.Just for promotion:digital strain watch this and you understand why its is so important to protect your eyes!!
To get cured from this condition of gizmo fever we need to do what is called the Digital Detoxing(DD).
This is very important in terms of what the whole scheme offers, every tech geek lurking around with his/her smartphone and having inconclusive results about his future biology!! I know this statement sounds weird..
I’ll elucidate this with a fact that you are producing 0-results as far as your health is concerned. What affects your health is a variety question that can be answered in many perspective ways, but sticking to my content, radiations and the blue light emitted from your quad HD,OLED display and any LCD screen for that matter will have adverse effects on your system and its functionality..
Digital Detoxing is a method that works efficiently to avoid excess involvement of yourself with smartphones, laptops and even T.V for carving your sculpture to utmost precision.
You people need to have the consistency while doing this workout session every day!
1.Make sure you have your smartphone locked at a safe place and wait for an hour without waking it up.
2.If you are unsuccessful in completing the first task, switch off your Wi-Fi and repeat step1.
3.If this too fails switch off your mobile for half an hour and repeat step1 again.
4.Continue doing this task thrice everyday and slowly increase the time rate at which your smartphone needs to be untouched..
I’m really stressing on this issue coz if you don’t have time to do this, you’ll not have time to look after your health as well.
I’m following this for a week and I’ve myself felt the positive results of Digital Detoxing!!
Wanna have a look at my smartphone that i keep using till now?Link:My Nokia
I made sure that i put up this small piece of info that i gained from a fundamental approach towards total elimination of smartphones!
Tqs a lot for reading this very long blog of mine and I’m sure that you would follow these steps at least for a span of 1-year ..

Are you one of them who really want to get a lot of popularity?
How do you want to portray yourself?
How can you get those millions of fan-followers?
Ahhh!! This keeps popping every now and then and this one such visual crushes all other significant thoughts, which were to be given their first preference. It is those time of solitude when you get these freakin ideas of becoming famous and taking selfies with random people!!
But giving it a 2 or 3 minute thought and having deep introspected for a day or two, you gain that faint happiness that there are probabilities of you trending in your society!!
You know something? I don’t like my blog without some technology quotes! So in that case take a small comparison- What was a Virtual Reality (VR) which came into existence was over-compensated with Augmented Reality(AR)!! Does it make sense? What was just a mere imagination a decade ago, came into strong relation with the humans, after the launch of Google Cardboard, Samsung VR , Oculus that were soon over-powered with Microsoft’s holo lens and recently launched Lenovo AR Headset..
You may probably click the >< button, not willing to read my next couple of statements..
But wait a minute!! There are real-time possibilities for you to trend. Many of them already are and many will be in the near future.
I am not going to tell you the ways of trending in this BLOG, rather would post a serious note about the path in which people should trend.
Choose your LOVE and love your CHOICE, wouldn’t that be the simplest idea for one to follow and accomplish their goals? Similar to maximum disadvantage in case of human cloning (Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of a human. The term is generally used to refer to artificial human cloning, which is the reproduction of human cells and tissue)- “of course taken from WIKIPEDIA”, there are high risks of one trending in the wrong direction..
You may and you should wonder why I’ve compared human cloning to that of trending in the wrong direction. The very fact that when one starts trending in the wrong side there are many replica of that person produced each and every second. Moreover with the kind of technological advancements, that person would be breathing his last stages of life in terms of Hacking? Ahh Even I’m confused now!. He would have accepted the brighter side, but sometimes you have that curiosity to perform illegal acts that in the long run would eventually lead you to prison-(the ultimate destination for every offender).
Even though that person would be trending , it would always be temporary and he/she will take all curse of the public. What if all these doesn’t happen and you lead a normal life without any popularity? That sounds good but only to some people!
Heyy man I’m sorry to bore you, but yeah the true fact is 75% would like to trend in some good way. This may be temporary or permanent but the kind of response you get would be amazing, especially if you crack a JEE exam and come in top 3 rankings.
This kind of gaining popularity would only last a week or two but you will cherish those moments..
Trending is important but the choice lies with us..
Few quotes about choices would fill up my blog:
“We are entering an era of unprecedented choice. And thats a good thing.”, Chris Anderson
“We are unknowingly predictable in our choices. It can be seen by the way we decorate our houses. We all feel we make unique and distinct choices, yet we all stand by cultural standard.” Aww by me!!
Why am I repeating this word “SIR” again and again…
To elucidate this THREE LETTER WORD would take us an opportunity to close our eyes for a very long time..
“SIR” strictly means and proves to be the abbreviation of “SLAVE I REMAIN“.
The fact that we tend to use this word multiple times in our daily situations, would in-turn reverse the path of our life, to a direction where our ancestors existed. It means that we ourselves are bowing our head to a person who is not your blood relation and thereby you are declaring to be his slave, until your lifespan ends..
Well! You have your INTERNET stating that,”SIR” means a word:
Used as a polite or respectful way of addressing a man, especially one in a position of authority.
You are living in the 21st century and Yessss! you are a free-bird.
But how long and to how many, have you remained a slave by uttering this word to multiple times.
People should call out each other with their own name, to display a uniform behavior and so as to address one-another with clarity to provide better understanding, officially as well as unofficially.
The SLAVE I REMAIN (SIR) can be substituted to SILENT IN RESPONSE (SIR) to whatever or whoever you feel should be ignored, for your selfish betterment, in order to thrive in this so stiff World which portrays only those who create HISTORY…
